To clean the headphone use a soft cloth damped in little amount of water. It is possible if necessary to use a drop of soap.
Do not use any cleaning fluids like alcohol, acetone or any other cleaning agents.
Do not expose the headphone to running water.

Answer
The headband is made of nylon TR55 which is a very flexible polymer. You can flex the headband of O'Neill 'the Stretch' all the way or to the sides like in the picture with no fear. They don't call it "The Stretch" for nothing...
